When Should You Book Your Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial?

You've booked your hair and makeup artist. Awesome! That's a big check mark on the wedding to-do list, but now the next question is "when should you book your trial?"

We recommend our brides book their trial 2-3 months before their wedding. As you near the end of wedding planning, you'll have less and less free time. Life gets busy! That's why we like to plan trials several months before the big day.

Trials tend to take more time than appointments on wedding days, so make sure you talk to your stylist about a time frame. Give yourself plenty of time during your trial to find a look you love. On the day of your wedding, there won't be any additional time to experiment. That's why trials are so important!

If you're getting your hair and makeup done, you should take full advantage of the occasion. If schedules align, try and book your trial the day of your bridal shower, engagement photos, or bachelorette party. It's a great way to see how your hair and makeup holds up to an event.

If you can't book your trial on one of those days, plan a date night! Go out with your partner or best friends. Don't let all that gorgeousness go to waste! Forget laundry or doing the dishes. You're glammed up. Go out and blow off a little steam before the big day. Reconnect with your partner over dinner. Stress tends to mount as you near the finish line of wedding planning. Take some time to do something special for yourself, and the day of your trial sounds like the perfect opportunity to us!

Still need a hair and makeup artist? Our team wants to help! We want our brides to have a fun and carefree morning. If that's what you want too, let's talk!
